Summer Gathering

We are pleased to announce that Susan C. Aldridge, PhD, the newly appointed President of Thomas Jefferson University, will be our guest speaker. Our program will begin at 3 pm with Dr. Aldridge.
She has been serving as the interim president since July 2023. She will be the first female president of the University. “Thomas Jefferson University is one of the most distinctive institutions I’ve been affiliated with, and I’m honored to have been asked to lead it into its third century.”
In addition, we will showcase this year’s Client Educator Project with Jefferson Occupational Therapy students. After two interviews by the OT students, an Industrial Design student helped design and fabricate a device to help the client with a difficult task.
Some of the difficulties the EFV Client Educators had were in watering plants outside, applying lotion to their back, carrying laundry down steps, kneeling for chores, and applying nail polish. The teams came up with some very innovative solutions – as you will see in the poster that each team created. The posters will be on display and can be viewed after the meeting while enjoying wine and cheese.
