CarFit: Helping Mature Drivers Find Their Safest Fit

Sign up for a FREE 20-minute Car Check by a Jefferson Occupational Therapy student, who will ensure that your car is set up properly to “fit” you best so that you can drive more safely and comfortably.
CarFit was created by AARP, AAA, and the American Occupational Therapy Association. It increases safety for driving and may make driving more comfortable for you.
During the Car Check, students will check the seat and mirror settings, check general car safety features, and provide you with recommendations. After the Car Check, Courtney Gohean, Occupational Therapy faculty member, will sign off on all recommendations and answer any further questions. She will also discuss any gadgets to assist with getting in and out of the car, grabbing seat belts, etc.
The results of the CarFit will not be shared with Penn DOT or anyone else and will have no effect on your driver’s license.
In case of heavy rain, CarFit will be canceled.
