The evening will see the traditional Rita’s water ice, Philly Pretzels, Wissahickon Brewery beer tasting for the adults, and a big red fire engine for kids to climb on.
Sponsored by East Falls Town Watch, the night will provide an opportunity for community residents to enjoy the goodies as they meet with officers from the 39th Police District, firefighters from Engine No. 35, Ladder No. 25, Medic No. 16 and city and state officials to talk about community safety and well-being issues.
The Old Academy yard will offer a safe space for kids to run around in and play games as they listen for the SEPTA trains whistling by and await the chance to climb aboard a fire truck.
All Fallsers are invited, and residents are asked to turn on their porch and yard’ lights to demonstrate solidarity with the quest for safe neighborhoods all across the country on National Night Out..
