The Textile & Costume Collection is home to hats from around the world and a variety of time periods. This talk will showcase some of Jade's favorites and discuss the art of millinery, common materials used, and design.” This will be in-person on the Jeff campus, so we can see examples close-up.
About Jade Papa: Jade Papa is a costume and textile historian. She brings to her work not only extensive experience in object preservation, identification, and research, but an intense curiosity about how these objects shaped and were shaped by the people and cultures who wore the garments and created the textiles. This interest sprung from her experiences as a theatrical costume designer and maker.

Access and parking: Carpool or walking is best. There is limited parking behind the white wall at the Center. Please do not park along the driveway itself. There is additional visitor parking across the street at Search Hall, near the corner of School House Lane.
