Jefferson University Ravenhill Campus Tree Walk, with Arborist Teddy Pickering
Friday, Sept. 18, 1 PM
Meet in front of Mott Hall, Jefferson campus - between Ravenhill Mansion and Ravenhill Chapel [Google Map]
Members and their guests. Free. Registration recommended.
Ravenhill, now part of the Jefferson campus, was once the estate of one of the richest man in Pennsylvania. Trees from that era grace the grounds, with younger trees continuing the heritage of the estate. Our guide, Teddy Pickering, looks forward to walking around the campus with us to help identify the many admirable trees of the Ravenhill campus.
About our guide: When Teddy Pickering was on the Jefferson faculty, he taught classes on local flora and landscape ecology. He's now is focused on his own design build company where he works with clients to help create and maintain ecological forward landscapes.
