Help Children to Read!
Join us at Mifflin School to encourage children to read.
Two ways to help:
Read to Me!
Most Wednesday mornings we read to small groups of children. Watch the Events Calendar or Weekly Update for details.
Clearances are required--see below.

School Library Time
Mifflin School has been without a librarian for years. We now staff the library two to three days each week (as the school schedule allows) - reading to children and helping them pick out books.
Clearances are required--see below.
Required Clearances
We require participants in these programs to obtain clearances. A child abuse clearance and State Police records check are required. An FBI fingerprint report is also needed if you've lived in Pennsylvania for less than ten years. The school district also has a Volunteer Orientation video, and a couple more pieces of documentation.
