What is this?
Join us for a private walk in the Morris Arboretum, with guide Nancy Matlack.
The Morris Arboretum is a living museum featuring plants, sculpture and ideas collected from around the world. We will visit some of the Arboretum's most beloved attractions like the Fernery, the Rose Garden, and the Log Cabin, which visionaries John and Lydia Morris developed more than 100 years ago. Many of the trees in our living collection are recognized as significant examples of their species, and some are the oldest in the area. We will see some of the exceptional specimens on this tour, including several current or former state champions, as well as many trees of extraordinary size and beauty.
The Arboretum property includes some hilly terrain. There is an ADA-approved paved walking path with less than 5% grade and benches strategically situated throughout the garden, but walking some areas of the Arboretum could prove challenging.
Don't forget the lovely gift shop!
Members of the Arboretum are free; admission for seniors is $17.
Please register here on line or at 267-444-4507 (M-F, 9-6) so the Arboretum will know how many to expect. For carpooling, meet at the Library at 10. If you prefer, meet us at the Arboretum for our 10:30 am tour.
