Patients’ Legal Rights in Today’s Health Care Environment

Presented by Roseann Sellani, RN, MSN, Attorney at Law

Ms. Sellani will explain today’s  complex and changing health care system and how YOU can know and use of your rights and responsibilities.

Learn how to maintain control of decision making in a complex medical environment by understanding your rights and position in the health care team. 

She will discuss informed consent and end-of-life choices as well – Living Wills, Five Wishes, POLST (PA Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment). How to make sure your living will is binding but not interpreted incorrectly in the ER.
